 Project "Happy Faces"

How We Are Taking Care of our People
My Pipers' boxer shorts are manufactured in Bangladesh at a factory where a safe, decent, and healthy working environment is a pre-requisite, as well as a desire to enrich the lives of their workers while taking care of the planet.  The factory is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) Certified in Platinum category under US Green Building Council (USGBC) standard and one of top 20 green factories in the world.  Protecting the environment and consciously striving to minimize use of natural resources are the priority.  All fabrics are responsibly sourced and manufactured in a sustainable, environmentally responsible way...at every step of the supply chain.

We are so lucky to have partnered with a factory who desires to see the happy faces of its workforce and the people making our boxers. Their ethical responsibility to their staff is the top priority above the sequential profit.  Paying their salaries and benefits on time, ensuring healthcare services with a fulltime Doctor and nurse, free medication, yearly medical check-up, taking care of expected mother and newborns, maternity and paternity leave, childcare, monthly nutrition program to combat malnutrition, free sanitary napkins, free transportation, pure drinking water, skill training, attendance bonuses, tobacco-free premises, wheelchair accessibility, yearly salary increments, and helping children with education are fundamental and core operational features.  Women are supported, empowered and participate in every stage of the operation system and are represented in numerous internal committees.  There is also a fair price shop selling wholesale items at cost to their employees.  Disabled workers are welcomed and ensured employment, as well as are senior citizens.
